Lounge of the Portraits

Photo: Lounge of the PortraitsUnder the Second Empire, the eight portraits of Europe's Heads of State (Napoleon III's contemporaries) replaced the portraits of the imperial family hung by Murat. The salon also contains a tapestry from the Manufacture de la Savonnerie (State tapestry-works) based on a drawing by Saint-Ange and woven to the specifications of the Duc d'Angoulême.
